Hey people this is a little background info into how I have got to where I am today. A qualified mechanic and suspension specialist with an extensive background in racing motocross, harescrambles and an undying passion for dirtbikes.
I began working on my own bikes at 12 years of age and left school at 16 to work for Peter Glidden Honda (largest Honda dealer in NZ at the time). I gained some useful knowledge working as parts manager before completing my mechanical apprenticeship. For the years that followed I worked as service manager before venturing out on my own to create Mspec here in Tauranga.
The dedication shown to racing has seen me win a number of prestigious events whilst keeping my addiction to racing dirt bikes at bay. In recent years my race mechanic and suspension work has taken me all over NZ, Australia and Asia. I have helped riders to over 9 national MX and a hand full of harescramble titles in NZ through extensive testing and preparation.
Through my 25+ years of being involved in the dirt bike industry I understand the commitment needed by the rider and the importance of correct bike set up required to get the best results!!!
